Bangla Help
Please follow the steps outlined in this guide to properly setup your computer for Bangla/Bengali Unicode support. It will show you how to:
1. Add support for Unicode Bangla in Windows
2. Install Bangla Unicode fonts
3. Setup your internet browser for proper Unicode support
Steps are very easy to follow and at the end of the process you will be able to read/write Bangla in any application that supports Unicode input.
1. Add support for Unicode Bangla in Windows
For Windows 2000/XP/2003 Users-
Log-in to your Windows with Administrative privilege. If you don’t have administrative privilege, please ask the owner of the computer to do it.
Download the Complex Script Installer from here. Run the downloaded iComplex_2.0.0.exe and a window like this will appear-
Click ‘Install Complex Scripts’ button-
Complex scripts will install in your computer. Then Computer will ask a restart.
Click ‘yes’ then Computer will restart
For Windows Vista Users-
Bangla support is already present on Windows Vista, so you don’t need to anything there.
2. Install Bangla Unicode fonts
Download the latest SolaimanLipi font from here. And follow these instructions to install the font.
